b'Business NoteDesigning Your Own: When you purchase component kits from RSRT to build your owndesign of chassis and/or suspension, please do not expect significant technical guidance unless you have purchased the appropriate tech services. Its not that Ron doesnt want to help you. But buying some shocks, springs & a sway bar kit isnt going to get you a complete Ron Sutton setup for your car. Its not that he wont. He cant. He literally cant tell you what spring rates or bar rates to run in your race car, without doing a 100% complete work up on your cars geometry & setup. Ron likes to say he is knowledgeable about how to get to the optimum setup. But hes not magic. He cant pull it out of his ass. Ron Suttons reputation for designing race cars from scratch & creating setups for race cars that can roll out of the trailer & run for the pole & the winare based on a LOT of work. The entire geometry of the race carfront & rear suspension, steering, ride height, track width, weight distribution, CG, etc, etc, etchave to be input into a racing software program. The software doesnt spit out a setup. It just calculates the math for everything that matters. The software will calculate static & dynamic information, providing he knows how much the car will dive under braking & roll under cornering. For RSRT Packages, Ron decides on a travel & roll setup strategy beforehand & creating the setup to achieve that. Ron looks at the static & dynamic (on track) result of every important area. This includes the roll centers, camber gain, caster gain, bump curves, ackerman, scrub radius, ride heights, anti-dive, anti-squat, motion ratios, wheel rates, total roll stiffness, spring rate to corner ratepercentages, roll couple, front & rear lateral load distribution, front & rear roll angles & more. Then, and only then, does Ron know what spring & bar rates are needed in a given race car. The full process includes running the race car through all dynamic conditions to work out the optimum kinetic compliance of the tires. This provides the optimum camber, caster, toe, ackerman, bump steer & more. All to be spot on when the race car first hits the track. Ron knows what he needs in every one of these numbers to have a car that will literally roll out of the trailer, capable of winning. He has literally done it over a thousand times. But he has to put in the work. That means the racer or team has to precisely measure every pivot point on the race cars front suspension, steering & rear suspension. They have to corner scale the car, aswell as help gather dimensions & weights for CG calcs & measure all the tire & wheel data. All of this work is ALREADY DONE in every autocross, road race & track Race Car in a Box package we sell. Every single one. Down to the gnats ass details. If there is a reason you need to do something different than what we already offer, talk to Ron direct. If it makes sense, Ron will offer you the technical services you need to design & optimize your race car. There is a section of Rons tech website BrakeTurnGo.com HERE specifically to show you how to precisely measure every pivot point on you race cars front suspension, steering & rear suspension, as well as the other data needed for Ron to work his magic. Realize this is a lot of work & the results cant be any better than your measurements. Depending on what you need, Ron can provide you with optimum geometry, suspension strategy, setup & alignment to win out of the box. 853'
