b'Race Car Parts Warning There is no way our race car parts can handle the impacts, vibration & harmonics of 10,000 miles on rough public roads. Thats a formula for disaster. A real ugly failure came on a clients GTA front clip, without engine bay bars for rigidity, driven 10,000 miles on public roads. The front clip flexed & vibrated way too much, without engine bay bars. The suspension buckets completely broke in the front. The lower control arms were close to failing too. We have seen other parts failures with race newbies that came from the street world. Yet we have hundreds of racers running those same parts on race cars, running race tracks, with no failures. The problem isnt the design or material of the part. It is simply understanding these are lightweight race parts, meant for race cars driven on relatively smooth race tracks. Even then, they wont last forever. Race car components are not bulletproof. If you want to have a great handling, street driven car, PLEASE look in our street car section & stay out of the race car section. All of the packages for your Muscle car designed for the street are on the previous section of the catalog. The pages ahead are lightweight race car parts designed to perform amazing on track day events & win races. They are NOT meant to handle the harshness of public roads, nor will they last forever. If you want a tube chassis race car with race technology & lightweight race componentsto compete & win in autocross, track day, time trials, amateur race series that require cars to be street legaland you take responsibility for driving a race car on the streetthen read on. In racing, veteran racers accept almost every part failure as their responsibility. In fact, there are no guarantees or warranties from companies in racing. Period. When some racer says they had bad luck because a rod end failed, causing the suspension to fail, and the car to crashveteran racers know better. Veteran racers know they may have bought a cheap ass part, but most likely their maintenance program is weak. Thats righta maintenance program. No racer worth his or her salt just races their car weekend after weekend without having a thorough race car maintenance program. Click Here for story. Most experienced racers have a check list. Some have several check lists & a part replacement schedule. Why? Because they know metal fatigues when cycled. Every piece of metal that gets loaded with force, unloaded & reloadedtime & time againis cycling the metal, which work hardens the metal. Click Here for Cyclic Stress Info.Click Here for Race Engine Life Cycle Info. All parts being cycled will fail. Its just a matter of use. The lighter we make it for performance gains, the sooner it will fail. In engines this applies to cranks, rods, rod bolts, pistons, piston pins, valves, valve springs, cams, lifters, etc. In suspensions this applies to rod ends, bolts, links, shocks, hubs, spindles, control arms, brackets, etc. In the chassis itself, in addition to all suspension, steering & powertrain mounts being cycledand failing with extended usethe frame & cage area that flexes is also susceptible to cracking & breaking. For this reason, all pro race teams, all serious sportsman race teams and all the race teams Ron Sutton owned utilize a schedule of inspecting suspension parts for signs of fatigue after every race event. Plus, with Rons years of racing experience, they had a defined schedule of replacement of all parts. Everything on the car had been assigned a life. All of the rod ends, ball joints & bolts on the entire race car were replaced every off season. Ron considered the pros & cons of having on track parts failures & never ran chassis or suspension parts more than 3 seasons. They were replaced & sold cheap as used. Cheap Chinese cranks were barely good for a season. Expensive Callies US made cranks were good for three seasons. But in the end, all metal that cycles, hardens, fatigues & fails. Its just a matter of use. Whats your maintenance & replacement schedule look like? We need to confirm rookies have read this & understand it before selling you a Warrior package.21'
