b'The Good, Bad & Ugly The good, The Bad & The uglYAs much as we would love to say nothing but sunshine & rainbows, there is a lot to know in building a complete tube chassis race car from scratch. One thing we wont do is bullshit you.Below is what we call The Good, The Bad & The Ugly of building a track car with Ron Sutton & one of our packages. The Good:oThe design, engineering & setup are all done for you. When you assemble it correctly, it will perform well. When it is done, you have a bad fast, amazing handling, turning & stopping track car, capable of winning races if you wanted, that you built. oYou work directly with Ron. The company owner & car designer.A 40 year racing veteran with 500 personal racing wins & decades of race car design & building experience will be your guide through your car build process.Ron will assist you with tips & answering questions as needed.oOnce your track car is completed, youll have a computer engineered baseline setup in your hands for fast & balanced handling right of the box. Literally.Ron is available to talk with you before your first track session about setup & dialing in your carto be fast day 1.oYou will have Rons basic track tuning guide with you, to know what to adjust & when.If you coordinate with Ron, he can be available for your first track day, through phone or text, to assist you in dialing in the balance of your new Race-Warrior. The Bad:oBuilding a tube chassis track car from scratch is a lot of work & takes a lot of time. You need to honestly assess your fab, welding & assembly skills (and tools) to decide what you will do & decide what to outsource to more skilled craftsman, which can be expensive.oRon cant teach you fab skills over the phone. So be realistic in your expectations of assistance from him.He does have lots of photos of cars in different building stages shown on the BrakeTurnGo.com website, as well as a lot of car building tips & advice.oOnce ordered, it takes 8+ weeks to get everything for your Track-Warrior.Unfortunately, in todays business world, long lead times are the norm on rear ends, brakes, our custom clips, etc.oAs mentioned on other pages, Rons response time to emails, texts & calls is longer than the typical retail business, by a lot.He may get back to you in a few days or it may be a week or two.If that wont work for you, then Ron wont be a good fit to work with you. oRon likes to say hes a good race car architect, but a bad fireman. He is not good at putting out fires, especially from poor planning & urgency on the part of the car builder. You need to plan ahead throughout your build.Last minute urgent calls dont take priority with Ron.So, lack of planning & foresight on your part will lead to you being frustrated. The Ugly:oThere is only one Ron Sutton to do chassis designs, update product designs, respond to calls & emails, work out setups, take & place orders. Just one & he only works part-time. Every so often when Ron is focused on completing a project, he goes dark meaning zero communication. This can last a week or two. So be patient & plan ahead. If you can NOT be patient with Rons busy schedule & delayed response times, this is going to end bad. oIf you can be patient, the tech support & awesome performance results from your car will be worth it. Ron can help ensure you build it right the first time & the result is an awesome track car that you love running. 18'
